AENJSouth is happy to announce our first Empty Bowl event. The event will coincide with the annual Youth Art Month show for students in Gloucester, Salem and Cumberland County, held at Appel Farm in Elmer NJ. Students and teachers who attend the show on Sunday March 7th, from 12:00 to 3:00, will be able able to create or decorate a clay bowl that will be sold at the Empty Bowl dinner to take place next year. Keep checking here for the date for the dinner event!
Teachers in other counties can contribute to Empty Bowls by creating bowls with their students and donating them to AENJSouth for sale next year. Teachers are also welcome to create a special bowl for auction as well. All money raised will benefit local South Jersey food banks.

This exciting community service project is beginning to take shape. There will be opportunities for parents, students, and teachers to glaze and make bowls. The date of March 2011 at Gloucester County College is being confirmed.
